Happy Anniversary to Juan
So who is Juan? My stoma. He is 3 years old today and I wanted to recognize him. More importantly, I wanted to post to thank everyone and to hopefully give some encouragement to those who are new to this experience. Thank you to everyone who got me through. When I joined this community 3 years ago, there didn't seem to be many of us Indiana Pouchers out there. Over time, the surgery has become more familiar (although still rare in the grand scheme of life) and it seems more and more of us are overcoming the set backs, problems and mental angst over our new lives. IMHO, this is due to the networking and community available through this board and all those who care enough to read and take the time to respond. I consider this group my other family and I know, no matter how depressed, angry or frustrated I am I can always count on folks on here to help me out. I love to be able to help others and encourage "newbies" it is so cathartic to me. I owe most of my early knowledge and support to "Squid" Ms. Judith for her insight and courage. Lynn was always there for me and I miss you my friend. I don't get on here as much as i would like but I commit to you guys to check in more often. Thank you to all and please stay strong. It never gets easy but it gets easier. Laugh at life and at yourself. I consider humility and the ability to laugh at yourself virtues, try it, you might just like it. Take care and God Bless. Love y'all

Let go and let God... Jules
