To remind you I have and Indiana pouch - conitnent stoma. I love this diversion. There have been some set backs, my biggest challenge as you have read is having my original surgeon in another province and getting help with follow up at home.
Lisa, thanks for checking up. I have an appoint tomorrow at 2:30 with the Uro here. Dr. Herschorn feels he is quite able to assist me. I saw him in Toronto in July.
Heres my questions:
I have stones in my pouch. I know I have seen others talk about this before. Please refresh my memory. Did you have any problems, how were they removed? Any input will be awesome.
Also something new has developed. Starting on Friday my stoma sarted to become very sore. Sleeping on that side or wearing thight ( nromal to most) clothes is painful and impossible. Visually I see nothing on the out side wrong. It looks fine. Then on Saturday night I felt at the top of the stoma inside I can feel a lump under the skin about the size of of a large grape.
Help?? This freaking me out, could it be the stones or a hernia or what??? Anyone with any stoma may have experienced this. Any infor will be most appreciated . I know I am going to the Dr. tomorrow but you guys usually can offer info that I can take with me, or at least settle me down for today. Good on the stones would also be appreciated.
I really need some advice thanks a million .
Debi
