Posted on behalf of the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network so our members whose ostomy was due to bladder cancer will have supplemental support available to them - we sure don't mean you should go to BCAN instead of visiting us

Three New Bladder Cancer Support Groups

BCAN is proud to announce that three new support groups in California, Connecticut, and Virginia are forming to educate and assist bladder cancer patients and families. More information about these and other support groups is available on BCAN's website.

Rancho Mirage, CA (Coachella Valley - Palm Springs Area)

This group will be held the fourth Thursday of every month from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. The group is meeting Thursday, February 24.

The first meeting of this group will be held Saturday, February 26 at 3:00 PM, and will discuss The Team Approach to Bladder Cancer. The group is open to everyone - it is not limited to UConn Health Center Patients.

Reston, VA (Northern Virginia)

This group is for pre- and post- radical cystectomy with neobladder patients. The first meeting will be held Tuesday, February 21, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, and from then on the group will meet the second Monday of each month, starting on Monday, March 14.
