ACE irrigations

Hi! I've had an appendicostomy (ACE) for a little over three years now. My doctor just increased my flushes to two times a day. Each time I use 1000 cc of water with 4 caps miralax followed by 1000 cc of plain water. I always thought i'd only have to irrigate once a day. What do you guys (who have appendicostomis or cecostomies) do for your flushes, and how often? Thank you so much! Hope you all have a good new year!

My son has had ace for 6 months he does 2 flushes a day with 2 caps of miralax and 1 ounce of glycerin sometimes we use a feet enema instead of the flush

I personally do it every 3-4 days with 400ml of water + <1 tbsp of salt. If I eat a lot and have a build up feeling then it would be 2-3 days. Usually 2 times a week.

Do u know if u can put a cath in the appendicostomy the wrong way?
