Maryland Urinary Kock pouch doctor?

Post by roxann13 »

I've had a urinary kock pouch for 20 years and can't find a good doctor. I live in maryland. Does anyone see a doctor here in Maryland? Do you like them? I've seen a few but not one that knows anything about urinary kock pouches or has ever done a kock pouch surgery. My husband has a kock pouch also. He had his done by Dr. Donald Skinner himself in Los Angeles over 20 years ago and then a revision just a few years ago just before Dr. Skinner retired. Dr. Skinner is the doctor who pioneered kock pouches years ago. But they just don't do them much any more so it's really hard finding a doctor that knows anything about them any more. that's when we've been told.

I don"t know about Maryland, BUT I would call the hospital where Dr. Skinner used to practice. They may be able to give you a referral to someone who is familiar with the procedures he did. I have a 20 year old pouch too, :)
