Update on Kock Revision Surgery

Post by SuzyinAL »

Just wanted to let you all know that the recovery process for the Kock revision done on my husband, Tommy is going well. This surgery was done at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio by Dr. Victor Fazio on May 15. He is now draining his pouch "as needed" and slowly introducing foods such as salads and vegetables. We are extremely pleased with the results.
I cannot tell you how grateful we are for this site, as well as the ostomy international site. Every response we received has truly been appreciated and so helpful. I have spent alot of time reading all the posts, and will continue to be a visitor to the sites regularly. I wish all of you well!

Thanks for your report, maybe you will come back now and then to help others who are looking to have this surgery.
Good luck and be well,

Hi there. Can someone please explain what the inside pouch or Kock pouch is to me? Is it possible for someone with a colostomy to have a surgery to have it changed into a Kock pouch? Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

Am I the only one in the USA with a URETEROSTOMY?

Post by Charlene A »

I have yet to connect with someone who has a ureterostomy with a cook's catheter into the kidney.

Am I the only one in the USA?
