Flange leaking issues

Post by Snoopy16+ »

Hello, I'm having a terrible time getting my flanges to properly seal. I can't seem to get a good seal to stop big leaks and these little ones that seep into the outer edges of the flange.
Can anyone share some assistance, I'm new to having an ostomy?

Hey Snoopy,

First, you might want to post this over on the general discussion board, there is more "traffic" over there. Second, if you could provide some more information, you will get more detailed answers/suggestions that will be specifically helpful to you. Like, do you have a colostomy/ileostomy? Is your stoma flush with your skin, or does it protrude above or below the skin line? How are you applying the flange? Are you using paste, powder, a barrier ring, skin prep, etc.? The more information you provide, the more precise the suggestions will be.
Hope that starts the help, and welcome to the boards.
