WFPB?

Post by revruss »

Hey friends!

Are there any (mostly) Whole Food Plant Based vegans on the discussion board? If so, would you be willing to email with me privately about irrigation?

Many thanks,

On the General discussion board there is a poster named veganostomy, to my knowledge not an irrigator. I do not know of any Vegans who irrigate. Not saying there are none.

Thanks Jimbob! I do know of VeganOstomy but, you are correct, he is not an irrigator. The last time I posted here (a long time ago) there was a woman who said she was vegan and irrigated. Perhaps I can search my posts or something? I'll try that:-)

Hey Russell,

Correct - I don't irrigate as I have an ileostomy. I may know people who irrigate (haven't asked), but I could if you're interested. PM me.

I just joined the forum and found your post. I started irrigating about two weeks ago and find my quality of life improved! I also follow a plant based diet. I'd appreciate any tips and ideas you have regarding eating plant based and irrigation. Thanks!

Recently changed to vegan diet and have been irrigating. Cancer and quitting chemo changes. Also doing coffee enema through stoma. Vegan diet changes output. Irrigating I know...vegan I am learning!

I've heard of coffee enemas as a cancer treatment, don't know the reasoning or how well it works.

a quick google reveals:
"When a coffee enema is used, the caffeine from the coffee is preferentially absorbed into this system and goes directly to the liver where it becomes a very strong detoxicant. It causes the liver to produce more bile (which contains processed toxins) and moves bile out toward the small intestine for elimination"
