Catheter for KOCK pouch

Post by Rnegin »

I am new to discussion boards and hoping someone will see this post and reply. I have a 39 year old continent ileostomy (KOCK POUCH). Have been using Medina 8730 catheters since beginning but now cannot insert catheters due to constricted canal. (Have Foley catheter inserted in meantime) Does anyone know of catheters (Medena appear ro be 7/16" diameter) with narrower diameter for me to order? Have an appointment with surgeon on 10/18/17 & would like to take new as well as old catheters to try and insert. Really need HELP. Thank you. Rnegin

The only other catheter to my knowledge that are manufactured are: Medina 1530 (maybe the same as your 8730) and the Weber&Judd that has two. The first is a two hole (catalog # 0718601) length 24", O.D. .405", I.D. .295", French size 31. The second is a three hole (catalog # 0718602) length 24", O.D. .375", I.D. .250", french size 29. Both of the Weber&judd are $54.95 each.

Hope this helps
