Koch/kock pouch and Scuba diving

Post by SublimeSD »

Hi, I'm 38 F and I've had a koch pouch since summer 2005. I had, had a colostomy and bag for 6 years prior.
I have had no unmanageable issues with the pouch, unless I go too long without emptying  :? :?
Anywho I want to take a diving certified course and wondering if having a conitent pouch is contradiction with this physical activity?
From what I read, there should be no issues. But I'm wondering about the experiences of tose who have a pouch and have done the activity. Is there anything I should know beforehand that only comes with experience?

Side note: After healing, I have had little to no issues with chrons or the koch pouch. I had colectomy 1999 and a proctcocolectomy in 2005.
