I fell on parastomal hernia

Three days ago, I fell off of an eighteen inch high porch, landed on my side on the bare ground. I broke a rib on my left side, but had no damage to the huge hernia on that side. Anyway so far so good. Just wanted to ask if anyone had fallen on a hernia? Right now I'm wearing a hernia belt around my upper left arm and chest to prevent pain to my broken rib area when the arm moves, not restricting breathing...

Have fallen on mine, laid on it, bumped it, heck, even got hit with a "Total Control Ball" last night warming my team up for a baseball game. It seems to handle all of it with no problem.

Ouch, sorry to hear! It seems your hernia is ok. I hope so! If you feel pain, DO go to your doctor!

I asked the physician assistant at urgent care, and he also told me to call my surgeon if any symptoms of injury appear. Last time I saw a surgeon was 2011, but have seen the ostomy nurse a couple of years ago. I'm just glad I didn't pop like a balloon!
