I just read in Friends of Ostomates Worldwide (Ostomy Pearls – Travel), an article by a WOC nurse, saying: "Use solidifiers in your pouch to thicken output. Folks with ileostomies and urostomies use these at bedtime to reduce leaks."
I've never heard of using a urine thickener/solidifier for a urostomy. Is this actually a thing? Or was this maybe a typo?
I've had a urostomy for a couple of years now.
