Post Reversal problems

Post by Ah1 »

I had my reversal almost a year ago on 4/17/17 after ruptured intestine from diverticulation. After I had it I had trouble having a BM. It caused a lot of pain through my back and I had trouble getting the feces through my system. It feels like it gets stuck in my intestines under my belly button. Now I'm on the highest amount of Linzess and Amitiza everyday to allow me to flush out my system everyday. I take it every morning and as the day goes on my belly gets larger and larger. I can pretty much see it coming through an area by my belly button. It does not hurt but causes me to look pregnant every day. Plus there is frustration with going through the emptying process every morning. I have to get up at 3:30 am to take my medicine and then hope the emptying process is over by the time I go to work. I also have what seems to be a hernia at my lower hip area from the pushing. I am an otherwise healthy person. I don't know what to do because my surgeon and GI specialist don't seem like they can help me. Anyone have any issues like this?

After seeing many doctors I’ve found one that I think can help me. She believes my connection is bad and I agree. So it looks like I’m going back for more surgery.
