Is anyone using Coloplast SenSura Mio Convex Click Two-Piece Deep Convex
I'm still trying to wade through the mountain of products for my urostomy. Everything I have tried last anywhere from 1-3 days before I get leakage between the barrier and my skin. I have come to think that this is due to my stoma being below skin or stomach level. So am going to try the coloplast deep convex, but before ordering, they ask how long will a box of 5 last, which obviously never using them I'm clueless, so hoping someone here can tell me what your experience with them has been. That's a standard Medicare question. Why don't you call Coloplast and ask for samples. They usually send 3 and won't ask you how long they will last. As a side note, I haven't had any luck using the Mio. They usually leak after a few hours or a day. I think the Assura has a better adhesive and comes in convex also.

Yes, that's what I'm gravitating towards now.

I have requested samples, but haven't heard any thing back other then a email acknowledging my request.texazgal wrote: 2019-12-13 13:37:46 That's a standard Medicare question. I will look into the Assura. Thanks!

I use a 2pc click drainable. Have used this for the last 5yrs. I love it I have tried every appliance there is. My base can stay on my stomach for 7 days till I need to change. Have gone longer but I like to stay at 7days. The drainable bag I change every 2days just to keep it fresh, but I do rinse it every time I dump. That keeps it fresher and no smell. I like how comfortable it is and that I can shower with my appliance on and without covering it. First week was getting use to it and had a couple leaks till I figured out what works for me. So for last 5 years I have not had a leak or a blow out. My stoma is also at skin level and below at times. So I found this device works great for me.

LarryW,
I now have an ileostomy and am giving Coloplast's Sensura Mio Convex Flip a try. https://www.coloplast.us/global/ostomy/ ... flip-page/ For years, I've used a 2-piece by Convatec but experienced some leakage because my ileostomy was created over a scar that dips in. The barrier on this Coloplast product is quite different and is helpful if you have dips and crevices on your abdomen or the skin. I found that I had so much output that I needed a high output pouch. So, I'm using that -- and actually, I have not cut off the spout that is used by urostomates. I find it easier to empty with the spout and it keeps things cleaner. Not the greatest appearance with slacks but I'm wearing baggier clothes...
With both the Convatec and this Coloplast product, I still use Stomahesive strips to build up the area where the skin dips in. And I use either Convatec Ease strips or Brava strips as "tape" to square off the barrier and ensure it stays in place. So far, I've had pretty good luck with this Coloplast product but I'm unsure if it will work for you. As suggested above, I'd recommend you get a sample. Ask for the high output and the regular pouch.
Good luck!

I have a ileostomy and I use the following products from Coloplast: Deep convex barrier #16954 Red, Protective seal thin , Elastic Barrier Strips the C-shape, I use Hytape in a couple areas, and the pouch I have finally decided to use all the time is Click High Output SenSura Mio. I’m going on 4 yeRs now coming up in February.
I would recommend calling Coloplast headquarters and ask for samples. I’ve had no problems with the products I’m using. Hope this helps
