Is anyone having trouble with these appliances? The pouches from the last 3 boxes have only lasted about 18 hours a pouch and then I get a leak. At this point, I stick close to home fearing a leak. I called Coloplast and they assured me that they have made no changes. Before these boxes, I was getting 2 to 3 days from a pouch.
Help!

Re: Coloplast15634 15634
I use Coloplast SenSura Mio. I have a 2 piece system. I generally get 5 days wear before I have to change my wafer. Do you use barrier rings? I have used Hollister barrier rings for years, but Coloplast is sending me sample barrier rings to try.
Do you cut your wafer to fit your stoma size? I have found in the past, if my cut wafer is not big enough and I am having active output, I am likely to develop a leak.
Hope this helps, good luck, leaks are no fun.

Coloplast 15634 is a one piece. If you have an ileostomy, then two pieces usually give you better wear time (from both my own experience and the advice of the ET nurse).
Did you check the lot numbers of the last three boxes? If they are all the same, you could ask your supplier to send you a different lot number, or ask Coloplast to. That can help narrow it down to an issue with the pouch, or something changing with you. When my CD flared up, my wear time drastically decreased.
Hope this helps.
