Thanksgiving

Post by To Dream a Dream »

I am grateful for our Discussion Board. For its Webmaster, Bob. Moderators, Jim Bob, OT Dave. And for all who participate on it. I am thankful for our UOAA (and the old UOA) & its officers & board members over many decades. I sincerely thank The Phoenix Magazine, its Editor & staff & all contributors to its many excellent articles. And especially to the medical personnel who have gone above & beyond in their own professions to reach out & support these efforts.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving to all. Stay vigilant. But keep dreaming.

The Gift

May you feel the hidden presence
Of my soul's life breath
As it rises and falls
Strong and faithful as the sea.
Transcending mortal distraction
To caress your own heart
Within rhythmic waves of shimmering solace
And the murmured constant
Of an unbroken peace.

This board got me through my newb days. My thanksgiving this year was spent in my one (1) room apartment. I didn't even have anything thanksgiving-y. I also took the Friday a vacation day, but those days and the ones I took the previous week were more about rest so I can get through December. And now that we're here, I can declare the proverbial mission accomplished.
Stomas are red
Asphyxia is blue
Yes I am very morbid
And darn cynical too
