Good morning. I am new to this group and am caring for my father. He was just discharged from the hospital after his ileostomy. Up to this point, he has been very healthy and only needed to go to the VA to refill his BP meds. Now, after this huge life changer, we are in need of a new PCP or specialist that he can see for his future care. He just recently qualified for Medicare, so now our options have opened up outside of the VA. I have looked all over the Gainesville/Ocala area trying to find an internist that has specialty in working with patients with a stoma and am just not sure I am finding what I am looking for. I am hoping that this might be the right forum to receive some guidance in finding an excellent practitioner that could help us out. Any help/guidance that could be offered would be appreciated.
Thank you!
Gainesville/Ocala Finding PCP/Specialist
