Can't sit up after an Abdominal Pernial Resecrion, Pain!

5 weeks out from surgery and still can't sit up to eat or drive ar just to relax without laying down. Any suggestions to help me appreciatedi or information on an appliance designed to.help with this issue. This is my only real problem since the surgery.

Yeah, that was one of my biggest struggles as well. Unfortunately, it's one of those slow healing deals that should hopefully get just a little bit better each day...it's painfully slow though...
I was able to use a throw pillow off of my couch that provided just enough support and padding to allow me to sit on hard surfaces. My recliner was my home for many weeks after the surgery as it would allow me to recline just enough to alleviate the worst of the discomfort.
