I got a colostomy 5/17/2022 and I've been having terrible rectal pressure and cramps. I've been to many doctors, colonoscopy/endoscopy, gastroenterologists, back to colorectal surgeon, no one can help. Went to 2 pain specialists, just want to give me narcotics. the pressure goes on from moment I get out of bed until I can have output from stoma, then gets a little better but it's hell every day.
I'm running out of options what to do. YOur suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Rectal pressure and cramps
I am having the same issue. Just had. CT Scan. Was told all looks normal. So what is the severe pain and periodical bleeding from. I see my colon/rectal doctors tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Relaxing your intestines may help... things like warm tea coffee or hot chocolate sometimes helps. Your intestines may be trying to pass mucus (which is normal, but can be quite painful). Do not try to push. Try to relax
