Small bowel capsule endoscopy?

I am anemic and my Gi doc wants to schedule this procedure which requires much preparation, a big dose of laxative and swallowing a capsule to see if I am bleeding internally .

Has anyone had this done and did you leave your appliance on? How did the whole test go?
