I love eating great and healthy vegan food. Can't get enough of it actually.
Just it doesn't agree with my illeostmy. Well as long as it's a juice, most of the solid stuff doesn't digest in the stomach and could cause a clog if enough of it backs up and decided to come out all at once. And salads are another favorite of mine, but a nightmare for my stoma.
Since I've been mainly on a meat and grain based diet, in small portions, I haven't had much of any issues with my illeostmy. I drink a V8 or some fruit juice once in awhile.
Seafood is usually out of the question as well. Especially asparagus cause of the intense stink. Which I love Japanese food.
So it makes me wonder if humankind wasn't originally to eat vegetables or seafood. That we are tailored to eat grains and meats at first?
It might make sense as those items are mostly wild on the land and available, vegetables (to grow) and seafood (to catch) required more effort.
What do you think about this?
Does your diet concur with mine having an illeostmy?
