I considered it, but then it was over quickly so I didn't bother.
How about anyone else? Going through a lot of toilet paper since your otosmy?
I used a handheld bidet at home, but now use lots of tp in hotel rooms, despite using smaller amounts I still go through a lot.
A bag change every three days takes about a half a roll, then dumping rakes about a roll a day.
Any tips to cut that usage down?

No, not sure what the strike would have to do with a product made in the US. Common sense should have prevented the fear factor.
As for pre/post usage, I probably use less now.

I don't use tp.
Too thin.
I use napkins. Fold them in half and keep them by the toilet.
All I use them for is after rinsing my bag and wiping the end.
Tp is too thin.
Napkins are thicker and water. What is left. Doesn't soak through.

And yes.
Tp is made in the USA and Canada.
I've never done panic buying for anything.
Not even back in the covid days.
People should not do it to begin with. Panic buying..

If using a product that's not toilet paper, please don't flush it. Toilet paper is designed to break down in water; paper towels, napkins, some flushable wipes, etc... do not disintegrate as quickly so you are greatly increasing the likelihood of an eventual plumbing clog.

Regarding a toilet paper panic, I recently learned of a man and a woman astronaut sent into space for an 8 day stay. The Boeing capsule they were in had some problems that made their safe return a little iffy. NASA decided to arrange their return on a space capsule that would be returning 8 months later. WHAT DID THEY DO ABOUT TOILET PAPER FOR THE EXTRA 7.5 MONTHS IN ORBIT ??????

I don't think they use toilet paper in space, likely some sort of combined wet vacuum bidet thing instead using reclaimed waste water.
