Surfing with a stoma

Post by Valery Belogub »

Hello everyone! I want to share with you how I surf with a stoma. To do this, I designed and made a neoprene belt at home. It works great and you don't have to worry about damaging the stoma or the bag coming off. Here is a video about it.

Well done. Can i ask what appliance you use and do you need to change it afterwards or how well does it last?

Of course the question is, if in the ocean then why wear a bag anyway?

I can see the stoma getting irritated from the salt and contact with the board (it will bleed like a stuck pig) so it needs protection for sure, but it could drain right out into the water.

It's the ocean, the volume of water is vast and surfing has waves so that churns things up quite a bit.

There's more fish crap in the water than ones stoma is ever going to produce. 😂

I'd say just protect it, hide it and let that baby drain away! No bag needed. 😂
