Ileostomy reversal and hernia
I had a cat scan done that shows a good size hernia, I have had my ileostomy for 10 years because of UC. The surgeon wants to do a reversal and hernia repair. I don't mind the ileostomy if you can believe that. I'm 68 years old and it has never stopped me from traveling or being active. The surgeon is really pushing for reversal. I have read all the issues people have had reversals and am scared. This would be a open surgery not laparoscopic like I had the first time. He said he would have to move ileostomy to fix hernia. I would appreciate any feedback.

I can't really comment on your issue other than saying you should get a second or maybe third opinion imo.....it sounds like you may be hesitating for good reasons.....
