I go running off fast to take a 8 hour trip to get some important mail that I needed to respond to quickly, plus it's a debt issue and I ensured everyone was paid so I don't know where this came from.
They sent me the 5 day letter which didn't have much detail but I talked to them and got an idea of the time period, I was completely covered by Medicaid at the time.
So anyway I'm in my hotel room and I definitely needed to do a bag change because I could feel the itching starting but after reviewing supplies OH NO! No barrier strips! I need them to keep the bag glued securely to my adobemen.
So now I'm thinking, should I go to my hospital and beg for four of them and a room I can take a shower and change the bag for a few hours?
Nah, too risky they woukd say no or charge me, then I thought about driving 6 hours through the night after already driving 8 hours today, but at least I would be in 6 hours of pain instead of much more.
Then I remembered I might have backup supplies in the car and sure enough there was a nice new box of barrier strips calling out to me.
I almost cried I was so happy.
So now I rest with a good meal, a hot shower and a fresh bag all ready to sleep and start my journey home tomorrow all fresh and clean.
Think ahead folks, think ahead!
Having backup supplies in the car saved my tail tonight
