Koch Pouch...

Post by Anders »

Hello, happened upon this 'discussion / information' board recently and decided to register. Have had Kock Pouch for approximately ten years. Have had great results, although recipient of one valve revision. Former owner of a failed j-pouch...the Kock Pouch, imo, has been a much better overall success for me personally. If I can offer any advice, etc. to recent recipients of Kock surgery, please ask. Likewise, must say that this and other similar discussion boards have been a great source of information to me over the years. Anders

:D Hi everyone ... i am in my 7th week of recovery from my kock pouch surgery in Toronto, Canada. Had problems with some drainage from perhaps an infection and have been on antibotics for 15 days. i have some drainage from the main incision and have some separation from the skin and stoma but that appears to be healing. I had an ileostomy for 20 years! So now i am hoping this will take and i will not have further complications. Looking forward to support and feedback from this group. Thanks in advance for all your info to date.
