Irrigation Travel Kits

Post by wblewett »

My wife's Indiana Pouch is two months post-op. We are in the process of assembling a travel kit, is anyone aware of a kit available for purchase or have recommendations for a travel kit? Information and experiences with cathing while traveling would be appreciated. Also, we use a #16 red cath we clean and reuse, what type should we order to retain a fresh supply. And lastly, (sorry) I am having difficulty finding small bottles of normal saline to add to the travel kit, any suggestions? We mix our in home irrigation solution using a gallon of distilled water and 8 tablespoons of salt.

Our thanks for the many informative posts.

Hi - get a note from your doc, with his letter head listing the fluids you will need to travel with, put his signature on it, and you show this to the TSA person at the airport and you won't have any problem. This is what I did. My doc is Dr. shlomo Raz and I fly frequently to California to see him and this is what I have to do.
