jpouch anyone?

Post by less70 »

Hi
Just thought I would ask here and on the general ostomy page about anyone who has a jpouch. Any success stories? Anything specific I should know or do prior to jpouch creation 3/24? Just hoping and praying it all works out. Thanks :)
Les
PS I've grown quite use to my ileo and it treats me pretty good. Guess I'm nervous about fooling around with something that works for me.

Hi,

I had my J Pouch done in 1992 and I have never looked back since I left the hospital. In fact, I only went to get a pouchoscopy last year which was dumb on my part but everything is ok.

For me I had no choice. I looked like the walking dead. I remember I was so weak I couldn't walk up stairs 2 at a time. It was impossible for my muscles to do it.

Some people have trouble with it and some don't. I feel blessed and the same time a little guilty because I don't even think about it anymore.
