As a crohnie, the answer to that question is "No. It does not". While you do not have crohns (right?), it comes from having to deal with chronic illness(es).
Edited to say i should've previewed instead of submitted; but nevertheless, I hope the surgeon has some insight. And Speedy Recovery.

Wow haven't been on here in a bit. Sorry lots going on here, went to plastic surgeon and he wants to wait and see right now the wound is open again but it is only a pinhole. Been keeping it covered with a mepilix border gauze and it seems to be fine however it is still open 3 weeks later. We both do not want to have to go to surgery as that means i will be bed bound for at least months. I am staying off of it as much as possible. In bed usually most days. I tend to get up at night and go and do things for a few hours then back to bed again. I go back to the surgeon in october i believe on the 13th.

Wow lots happened since i have been on here. Went to vegas for vacation ended up in the hospital while there with congestive heart failure. Got back home and was in hospital again for 4 days to determine why i went into failure in the first place. I was discharged on wednesday and wound back up in my cardiologists office today because i gained 3 pounds again overnight. We think we have it under control again now let's hope anyways! I after some lasix again tonight am feeling better so hopefully i will not need to call the cardiologist again tomorrow morning. Even though he is the one on call this weekend i do not want to have to go in again! Ostomy wise things are going good. Sore wise things are still the same. How is everyone doing?

Hi smashms, sorry to hear of what happened when you were on holiday. congestive heart failure - not good. Hope you are doing better, much better.
I am fine although energy is lacking. Hopefully that will improve now that I've finished a course of antibiotics.

TGH, doing better been really busy!!! Wow lots going on was hospitalized almost the whole month of December almost again. Started with a double kidney infection went septic almost found myself in ICU, had dangerously low blood pressure. It still is really low even on 2 meds to bring it up but it has somewhat stabilized. I got out Christmas Eve had a really nice holiday at home then we had to admit my grandmother to hospital about a week after the new year. She was in for 2 weeks almost then we admitted her into a nursing home. She will not be coming back here she just simply needs too much care as of now. Needs 24 hr care and no one here to provide it. As I am going back and forth to the hospital. I also have pretty severe anemia so I am going to be getting b12 shots and monthly infusions of both blood and something else. Not sure what yet but I will be getting them at my local hemotologist's office. Oh and. Sore wise we are now going for surgery to close the wound again as soon as things have stabilized both with the pressures and with the anemia. I am shooting for sometime this summer maybe would like early summer but who knows when things anemia wise will be stable enough. The surgeon would like me to be at least 2-3 months without being anemic in order to safely do it. Will see how quickly once I start treatment things get better.
