Re: Am i doing irrigation wrong???
no trouble using the cone,, its just i'm not able to irrigate with a barrier on, just a waste of barriers because they get water under them and i do not need broken down skin from moisture left under the barrier if i do not pull it off, stoma caps cost less so it looks like thats just the way i have to irrigate but thanks for your input...
Re: Am i doing irrigation wrong???
if you're not having any output in between irrigation, you should be fine .. Isn't that the whole point of irrigation - not to have to wear a bag? and to have control over your bowels? Cap will be much gentler on your skin than a barrier, smaller, more discreet ...
If you're having output between irrigations, then that's a horse of a different color ...

Maybe try cutting the wafer hole larger, so there's less shelf sticking out over your recessed stoma.sassie wrote: 2019-04-09 17:54:30 my flange holds on well but when i insert the cone it pushes the stoma inwards and allows a gap and with a hernia it may take a few trys to get the flow going , during that part is when water will get out and leak into the flange gap,
