Okay Update

Been using the PREP Dabbler Bottle and it's been working fine, plus now I hold the toilet paper tube for three minutes with the paste

When I prepare my wafer I cut the wafer cutout lengthwise in half and put the ring around the edge of the wafer hole, sticky side up. Then cut the remaining piece in half and place on top of that at 3 and 9 o'clock positions to fill my belly fold. Slap on a bead of paste then one around the stoma skin side first to ensure it sticks and sandwich them together. Toilet paper tube hard for three minutes and I'm good.

I've been getting about 3-4 days now. Much happier.

Only tiny leaks at the 6 o'clock position and I try to get to it right away so it doesn't get bad as it will dig a trench there and take a longer time to heal.

Hey Shamrock, wow—thanks so much for laying out your whole routine in such detail, the wafer cutout tricks for the hinge effect and filling those folds are genius, seriously appreciate you sharing all that (and linking your main thread too).

Sounds like you're nailing longer wear times already with the paste matching and extra strips for pressure—super helpful for anyone dealing with a hinged stoma or creases like me.
Can't wait to hear how the Coloplast Prep dabber and that zinc oxide mix experiment turn out; def gonna try some of those ideas on my next change. You're a lifesaver on here!

(Oh and on belts, I get why you skip 'em if they shift things—I've had luck with a lighter one that just supports the bag weight without pulling on the wafer much. Actually hold it perfectly, and help holding the weight like crazy I forget about the bag while wearing it.

Hugs!!! Where are you based?

Yea getting expensive rings (which just melt) for belly fold filler just didn't make much economic sense to me. The wafer cutout pieces don't melt so all I need is just a little paste. Plus they reduce the wafer hole edge wobble effect by stiffing it up some.

I can't seem to find zinc oxide anywhere. Neither can I find mineral oil. It's like they replaced the general need for such products with others more specific which of course doesn't have the same ingredients so they won't work.

I use the extra large barrier strips held down in the middle and then the sides stretched to provide a downward pressure instead of using a belt. Much better results, the wafer stays put in place. A belt was digging the wafer into my skin and caused a graneomola which is almost finally gone now, I can barely feel it if I rub on it.

The Coloplast PREP Dabbler Bottle is working out great, especially for my very tiny leak wounds. I just lightly dust with stoma powder and hit it with the Dabbler Bottle, stings a little bit then it's over. Not wasting a lot like I was using the barrier spray which is better for larger areas but can't be sprayed over the PREP as they won't stick to one another.
