I didn’t name my stoma, but I did name the bag. I call it D-bag. Douche bag.

My husband came up with a name recently as my stoma is doing well but its everything else that is not.
My lower abd on the site of ostomy was looking really good until Mid may when i noted the bag was getting harder to hide even if T shirt was out. The doctor mentioned stealth belt which I am going to try in near future.
As the area around right abd has gotten more and more almost looking 7 months pregnant (example only) I told the ostomy is impossible to not have issues with being in public now as the ostomy is very vocal.

My husband came up with Pepe as in Pepe la pew. so the ostomy is Pepe and now the wounds on the left side that are never healing are either putunia or pepita per my husband and the wound nurse. so he knows what i am saying without the words.
everyone I know loves the nam.

I named mine Eddie for Eddie Haskell of "Leave it to Beaver" fame. Nice and Polite when you're looking at him, take your eyes off him and he starts trouble. I've only had him a week. I'm sure some other name may come to mind.

I named mine Scarface. It’s a long story which I’ll tell eventually.

This is a fun question! I refer to my stoma informally as "bane of my existence" and "deformity." I have also often cursed its presence with some four-letter words considered objectionable and obscene, and I just can't compel myself to assign it a "human" name because I feel "inhuman" having it.
