Have you considered super gluing something like a piece of soft flat foam on the inside portion of the bag so it sits on top of the stoma?

I haven't had too much of a gas problem myself but did catch one this morning and it seems that the plastic bag next to the stoma causes a lot of the sound to be amplified.

I'm guessing what is occurring is the digestive enzymes (gut bacteria) are digesting food and producing a lot of gas as a result..so quantity of food eaten at one time may be responsible for gas because the bacteria keep multiplying and the more food is more fuel and more gas produced. However I suspect as the food runs out that the bacteria quantity starts to diminish. So perhaps more small meals over the course of the day may assist in keeping the bacteria at more manageable gas levels.

Of course some foods just produce a lot of gas all in itself. Unfortunately there isn't much of any warning sign that a stoma fart is about to occur, so it's hard to find a suitable location.

So I'm thinking something that can muffler it a bit but inside the bag instead of outside of it. But outside works for some too.

I'll look into it and experiment some. 😁

Ha, I've now have been experiencing stoma farts more frequently than before.

I think it had to do with my recent decision to stop drinking coffee. I did so because my output seemed very painful when I got a leak, why I adopted using dissolved antacids as a bag flush and leaving some inside as a neutralizer (raises the pH level to kill the enzymes). However the coffee, being rather acidic itself perhaps was too much for the intestinal enzymes and was making a less favorable environment and perhaps even exiting the stoma. But now with the extra acidity removed the gas has been going like gangbusters.

I've also been consuming more food at one time, like almost normal meals, instead of small portions frequently during the day. Naturally more fuel for the rapidly multiplying gut bacteria, the more gas.

I'll take gas and noise over painful burning leaks any day but now of course presents a problem being around others with the noise.

She's quite a noisy little lady now, but she's happy with a good bag on. 😊
