That sucks is your creatine function affected this is a test to see how much function is left in your kidney. I right now have 50% on a good day.

had my visit with interventional radiology with the next baby step in internalizing my PCN tube and ureter stent. Somewhat sore, but otherwise doing well.

A word of caution, Sisters: when it comes to internet forums, I am a threadkiller. And I have just posted twice in a row.

Sinfulslot:
Ouch ! And Double Ouchie ! The placement of the kidney tube sounds painful. Did you receive "twilight" sedation?

You are being quite a trooper. I recall Linda (bag lady) had placement of a nephrostomy tube and she complained that the pain was significant. Linda was not one to complain, so her comments caught my attention.

Extending to you sincere Get Well wishes. I hope that the next few days find you healing and more comfortable.

I have endured two kidney stones. I thought that they would be like a pearl, smooth and beautiful. Nope. The kidney stones were rough-edged and scraggly, muted gray in color. Not beautiful.

Take care,

Somehow i double posted the same post. I shouldn't be trying so hard to kill this thread. And it's not like I wanted this ability; I just can't seem to shake the trend of seeing my post being the last post of any given thread, regardless of forum.

kidney: still kind of sore this morning. and other than the kidney pain when i pee, also feeling good. This last visit had sedation, the one before that did not. It was amazing how much better i felt after that visit. and to be able to take a day. it was like a mental health day and my hospital visits are the closest thing to going to a spa; i don't go on vacation, I have procedures.

trooper: I seem to get that a lot. Make no mistake: as strong as you may think I am ...Hulk is strongest there is.

Smashms: It is encouraging to hear that you are gaining in strength. I hope that you continue to feel a sense of wind beneath your sails, carrying you forward.

Sinfulsot: It is nice to have you join this thread. Pull up a lawn chair and join our circle around the campfire. Bring a marshmallow(s) for roasting.

Are you tolerating the kidney tubes?

How is everyone's weather? Portland, Ore is experiencing a heat wave. It is HOT. 98 degrees F today with the extended forecast calling for temperatures in the 90s. I am becoming less tolerant of the heat with age . . . anybody have any suggestions as to how to keep cool.

Keep steady,

Smash: you just haven't seen what i've seen. glad you are on the mend.

So far tolerating the tube. Wednesday is my next babystep.

heat: I find the best way to beat the heat is to spend plenty of time in air-conditioned rooms.

weather: rain that started last night while I and Wife were attending a Barenaked Ladies concert.

Hello all i fear i may be going to urgent care tomorrow for x-rays of my good leg. Fell going up the stairs this evening, thigh is pretty swollen and hurts like hell, and ankle on the same side has a good bit of swelling as well. And is sore. To make matters worse i heard a snap not sure what it was. I am able to walk on it but pretty gingerly.

They finally found the other escapee in ny just 4 hours from my home. And guess where they transferred him to my hospital. UGH! And i need my port flushed this week major UGH! The police presence there is going to be unbelievable till he is gone!

Well went for the port flush today traffic considering wasn't that bad. Lots of media around on just about every corner. But all in all wasn't bad at all.

Not going to get xrays either the only thing i think is broke is my left big toe and they won't do anything for it anyway. My right leg is all bruised and still very sore but i can walk on it

Sinfulsot:

How was the BareFoot Ladies concert? FABulous? It is always nice to have something positive on the calendar.

How are you tolerating the nephrostomy tube? Are you having it changed/replaced later this week? If yes, I hope that they provide you with twilight sedation so that the procedure is easy-peezy.

Smashms:
Sorry to hear about a possible broken toe. Ouch.

Barenaked Ladies was fun despite dozing thru some of their set.

I am tolerating the tube mostly. I had a fever sunday night so i uncapped the tube and reconnected it to a bag. Yesterday was a lot of natural peeing. Wednesday is the next step to internalize the tube.
