Why must things always happen to me? I am again in the ER after eating almonds of all things seems i have an obstruction again. Forgot how horribly painful these things are. Had them last night and i was up all night with nausea and extreme pain all the tell tale signs.

Smash, what's your status?

I was getting my remicade Tuesday and for no apparent reason, my BP dropped and i almost passed out. I took a ride to go 2 blocks to my ER. some bloodwork, a urine, fluids and an EKG later, i was discharged and told not to go to werk.

Happy Friday Eve everyone.

Been a bit since i posted just thought i would check in, was supposed to go to the doctor on wednesday however i slept through my appt. so i emailed them to get another one setup asap. Yesterday was a busy one getting ready for my bff's wedding tomorrow. Then my birthday is on sunday. Overall i feel pretty good still thank god. Still very tired and a bit nauseous as well but the meds are helping with that. Am still having episodes of a-fib however but have managed to stay out of the ER so far. I go back to the electrophysiologist on aug 19 to discuss where we go from here. He wanted my kidney numbers to recover first and i think they have so far. Last i knew they were back to my baseline. Well tomorrow is going to be a busy one and a late one hopefully i can get a nap before we have to leave.

The wedding was amazing. Had so much fun then went to the race track for my birthday on sunday and hit a triple. Almost tripled what i went with. I am paying for this weekend today however came down with a cold i think and the nausea is back again with a vengence. Thank god i have meds for it still however and they have been working so far so i think this time i can remain home unless things change.

Hello Sisterhood. I am new to UOAA. I laughed out loud when I read "Stomas are red..." Thank you! You sound like a fun group.

I was given an ileostomy in March this year for stage III, then did one treatment of Folfox and had enough. Does that qualify me to join your group? As a new "survivor" I have been looking for a support group but none are locally available to me. This cancer has been a wild ride and I need all the fellowship I can find.

I'm still learning how to navigate an online forum. What are the Quote, Code, List buttons for?

Anyway, hope everyone keeps up the good fight.

Petra

Quote is to quote another user's post in your own post.
Code i think is for HTML or other forum markup symbols. list is more specifically for lists, with said markup symbols.

And i think once you catch cancer, you're in the club...

Well just back from the doctor and i have a cold. Got home and went on the portal and she put in my chart i have drug seeking behavior. So i both emailed her and called her and told her to remove it immediately why must she make it so difficult for me when i am truely in pain. She is compromising care now and i am not happy. All because i asked her for a script for a stronger cough medicine so i could sleep at night. Ugh.

Oh! That sucks! Doesn't your doctor have any empathy? Why do some doctors refuse to be human? I think I would look for a new one.

In a hurry today, but want to thank Sinfulsot for her reply. Petra

It really sucks because i trusted this doctor as i have been with her for years! Going to make another appointment with her and get this taken out of my chart immediately. Already have 2 calls into her as well as an email. I just cannot believe that she would do something like that behind my back and without even talking to me about it first.

Dear smashms - good idea to tackle the subject with your doctor directly. Maybe your doctor was having a bad day too. Let us know how it works out. Petra
