pouchitis?

Okay has anyone had who has had an Indiana pouch have problems/ I am having pain when my pouch is full and I have tested negaitve for infection. I am also having some right sided flank pain. I wonder is it possible to maybe have a kidney stone?
Any ideas?

Yes it is possible to have a stone, I know because I have had them. Why did you have the surgery? Was it for cancer or something else like Interstitial Cystitis? I had mine done for IC and it turns out that I have IBS in my pouch. I get pain in my pouch at times due to spasms and it can also make it leak. How old is your pouch? My pouch will hurt if it gets overly full, my pouch is also almost 17 yrs old. Usually with pouchitis there is infection present, I had pouchitis once and I tested positive for infection. Judith

Squid,
I had mine last year due to IC. No infection present. Just like my pouch is seeming to spasm and leak a little more than usual.I am taking benytl it is starting to help.

I also take Bentyl (dicyclomine) and it usually works fairly well for me. Glad it is helping you too.
