Struvite Stones in Indiana Pouch

Does anyone know how to prevent struvite stones from forming in an indiana pouch? I have had a recent bout with them and had to have numerous hospital procedures done to remove them from my pouch. Now that I am stone free I want to try to prevent future occurrences.

Struvite stones tend to form because of infections, so to prevent them one thing to do is drink lots of water. I would also ask your uro what else you can do to help prevent infections. Some people take Vit C, or drink things like cranberry juice, or pomagranate juice to keep the urine acidic. There is also a drug called Mandelamine, which you can take to also keep the urine acidic, it is by prescription.
