Hypoallergenic lubricant

Post by Dahlia »

Good evening friends,

Wondering if anyone knows of a hypoallergenic lubricant that can be used for BCIR. I am using KY lubricant and sometimes aloe vera gel (organic). However, I am suffering from some inflammation inside in the passageway that continues to complicate my intubation. I was examined by doc a few weeks ago and learned that it is not a structural problem, thank goodness. He seems to think it will reduce over time but that my recent repair may still be affecting the tissues (done in Sept. 08).

Thanks for any suggestions. Don't want to use mineral oil as it contains petroleum, ugh! Gratefully, Dahlia

hello Dahlia, i use a product called "sugilube" and they make it in little individual use packets. i've not had any problems wth it but that is just me. also "liberator Medical" sends me a lubricating jelly made by "triad" that works well. i prefer the surgilube myself but the other is a good product as well.
