Questions about writing posts

Post by krys »

Being a 'little' technolocically challenged, I have some simple questions about writing posts. 1. how do you write the items under the line of thr posts eg Rectal Cancer... Permanent Colostomy 07 Quotes? 2. What do the Topic Icons Mean and when do you use them? 3. How do you add smilies? 4. What do the options on the bottom left hand corner do? 5. Above this box please explain the following. : Quote, Code, List, List=,(*) ,1mg, URL. I know that it's a lot but again- I am challenged!!

Thanks,Krys

Hi krys,

You have indeed asked a lot of questions. I'll start by answering your first question, and maybe some of our users will chime in by answering others. The identifying info that can appear below a line beneath your post is called a "signature." To create a signature, click the "User Control Panel" link near upper left of any screen, then the "Profile" tab, then choose "Edit signature" on the left side.

Dear chrislaplume,

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but I notice that while you've posted 5 times (so far) on this board, all of your posts have been replies in existing threads. So maybe you're wondering how to start a new thread to ask a question. As a suggested procedure, start from our Discussion Board Home Page and click to the relevant forum (such as the General Ostomy Discussion if that's the right one for your question). Then click the "NEW TOPIC" button above or below the list of existing topics.
