So Oct 2006 i had an Indiana Pouch put in, removed my bladder and front wall of my vagina.
In the past years from 1980 to 2006 i had gallbladder, appendix out my tubes tied and cysts removed so we are talking about alot ( ALOT) of scar tissue down there.
I have been in the ER about 6 times in almost 3 years but the last two times 2months ago and now required over a week stay and ohhh my god the pain of the bowel obstruction was the most painful thing ever .
I am really thinking that i should just have them take out the Indiana Pouch and go to using an external bag.

I have a kock pouch but understand your frustration. I had my gallbladder removed and many D/Cs to remove fibroid tumors over the years. The scar tissue is very painful and while I have not had an obstruction...I get "episodes" where I am in the hospital for vomiting/diar and then it continues for days because my bile will go "up" and not down and it's a vicous cycle.

You can still get an obstruction having a traditional ileostomy so if your pouch is otherwise working fine...I would personally leave keep it.
