SSI or SSA Disability help question

SS want's me to take a physiological test.
My Medical Doc and my Physiologist both wrote letters stating that i can not work a full time job or even be dependable for any type of work.

Heres my question....
Any idea what will happen or what it will be like or what they are trying to get out of this????
Has anyone else had to do this?

When I got it, I did not have to take a test, but that was quite a few years ago. I think that since I had lots of documentation showing that my health interfered with my ability to work that was enough for them. I had lost every job I had due to my medical problems, plus I even went back to school and tried other types of work, but sill got fired because of my illnesses. Most likely they will have a psychologist interview you and make a determination as to what they feel you can do. When was the last time you worked? Did you stop because of your health or were you fired? The more you can back the fact that working will be difficult the better your chances are for getting SSI/SSDI. I would also suggest that you write down what a typical day is like for you- do you need to rest often, are you unable to do certain tasks. Make a list of how your life has changed due to your problems. Good luck, let us know what happens,ok?

Do you take any anti-depressants? I appllied for SS and because I took zoloft for anxiety and mentioned having had panic attacks, they had me meet with one of their own psychiatrists. It was nothing really, just a really nice lady asked me a few questions and that was it. It was like 10 minutes max in and out. No ink-blot tests or anything of that nature. I think they do that because if they can't qualify you as disabled for the UC/CD or whatever you have, you may qualify based on a mental disability. I just re-read your post to make sure I covered everything you asked and were wondering. When I re-read this sentence

I thought you said a "psychiatric" evalutaion. I'll post this anyway in case its what you were asking for, and if not maybe it will help someone else.

Thanks i took the test on wednesday and it was short and sweet i feel very confident that he realized just what i go through day by day.
