Urinary Kock pouch problems

Post by mrsjt »

Hello I am new to the post, but I need help ASAP. I have had a Kock pouch for about seven years and it seem like for the past year/year and half I have been having MAJOR urine ordor problems with some thickness coming out at times. Can some help or have suggestions of what to do or what I am not doing?????? :?

When was the last time you were checked for an infection? To try to thin out the mucus drink LOTS of water. As far as odor, it may be partially due to it being concentrated if you are not drinking enough. Certain foods will also make urine smell strong, like asparagus, and onions. Yogurt, and drinking cranberry juice may also help to rid the odor. I have had a pouch since 1992.
