Looking for Koch Doctors

We too are looking for a doctor. My husband has had a Koch Pouch 25 years and is now having trouble inserting catheter. We live in Alabama. We are hearing alot about Dr. Fazio in Ohio, and are willing to go there if needed, but it would be nice if we could go to an adjoing state which would be Mississippi, Tennessee, or Florida. (Don't think there is anyone in GA) Someone suggested a couple of docs at Clevand Clinic in FL. Is there a way to get more info on these docs, concerning their experience with pouches and the type procedures they do? We really want to do this right. Guess we need names to start with.

I've heard good things about the group of colo-rectal surgeons in Huntsville - don't know if they do Koch Pouch, but perhaps they would know where to refer you.
Good Luck! Let us know what you find/decide.

I PMed you with bios on the doctors at CCF/Weston.
You can also go into the www.ccf.org site and do some discovery.

Thanks!

Marf, I checked in with the Colo-Rectal surgeons in Huntsville. They used to do Kochs, but discontinued years ago due to the difficulty of success with them.

Suzy,

Go to the Cleveland Clinic website and look up Dr. Victor Fazio. he did my Kock Pouch in 1990 and is one of the "big" ones for it.
