I received a question via email from a Family Nurse Practitioner at a VA hospital in Shreveport, LA, asking if we are aware of anyone who performs Kock Pouch surgery in a VA Medical Center setting. Please let me know if you do, either by answering here or sending me an email.

When I had my Urostomy surgery at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, I was presented with (3) possible options; Neobladder, Indiana pouch or Urostomy. So perhaps they also have GI Continent diversion surgical options available.

In my case my surgical team was from Northwestern Memorial Hospital. This VA is associated with NMH and UIC (University of Illinois Chicago) Medical Center, with regards to Physicians.
Also, she could contact Hines VA, which is on the border of Chicago and is also a very large Facility and is associated with Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, Il.
