Republic of Ireland
Someday I'd like to visit southern Ireland. Are there any organized ostomy groups in that area?

Re: Republic of Ireland
I expect there are but don't know for certain. One way to find out is to write to one of the existing national ostomy associations that served the UK. There are three ... they have historically had one each for colostomy, ileostomy and urostomy. The Ileo and Uro groups are listed at the very bottom of the page at http://www.ostomyinternational.org/European.htm - one of them ought to be able to assist you. I'm not quite sure why the Colo group is not listed there, but their website is http://www.colostomyassociation.org.uk/ .
All 3 websites probably do list their local groups, as does the UOAA site, so you could probably check without actually writing - though I'm sure they would be very glad to hear from you.

Thanks, Linda. And I wonder if moving the Beyond the Pouch forum to directly beneath the general ostomy topics, making it second on the Board listing might encourage more folks to visit it.
