Hi, I didn't realize there was a Quality of Life Assoc for continent ostomies, an affliate of the UOAA. I'd like to learn more. Their website seems to be down.
I won't be able to attend the conference but am interested in any material provided after the conference.

For example, do they reach out to colorectal surgeons to share success stories about how a continent ostomy can change someone's quality of life? Not by recruiting, but sharing patient outcomes and possibly they would be inspired to learn this techique? Or, maybe reach out to GI Drs so they are aware of options and be aware that many continent ostomates are doing very well? Or maybe even reach out to ostomy nurses - so they can refer patients to a list of surgeons if needed?

Thank you!

Flemmart;

The web site is up and running. Board members from QLA will be attending the UOAA conference which follows the QLA's symposium at the same hotel in Reno. We are reaching out to as many surgeons and GI Doctors throughout the US with an introductory letter and brochure. We attend and man a booth at the WOCN conference for nurses each year. We are not competing with the UOAA but was asked by the UOAA to take the lead in supplying advice and answers to their continent diversion group. Visit our web and fell free to contact any of our board members for further information.
