Hello

I am fairly new to this site...I was just wondering if there are any conferences in Canada regarding Ostomy and Urostomy support groups... can someone please provide me with a website or information..

Hi Joey,
I'm from Winnipeg. Yes. there are Canadian ostomy support groups. There is the United Ostomy Association of Canada. Each province should have at least one local support group (Winnipeg Ostomy Assoc, Edmonton Ostomy Assoc etc..) depending on whether you live in a city or a town. Most have websites so you should be able to look one up.
There is also a United Ostomy Association of Canada conference every year. This year it is in Moncton, NB in August. The UOAC website is www.ostomycanada.ca.
You didn't say why you had a Urostomy, but there is a group for people with Bladder Exstrophy and Epispadias called ABC that covers both the US and Canada and has a conference every other year. There are some small exstrophy chapters in a few provinces, Ontario, Quebec and a catch all for Western Canada. Hope it helps
