Veteran's benefits and 2013 budget: I've got Good news...

...and bad news.
The good: the 2013 House Budget plan ( http://budget.house.gov/fy2013Prosperity// ) leaves veterans spending virtually untouched in 2013 and beyond, cuts spending $19B below discretionary caps, and avoids sequestration.
Tha bad: It's an election year, and gov't spending is The Football to End All Footballs.

So...expect partisanship to deadlock this until the inevitable sequestration (which will, in my and many others' opinion, eviscerate the military), kicking in the automatic cuts, and then the blame game.
Seriously, when election years roll around, I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
