Tricare Prime Supplement

Post by KarenS »

I'm looking for a good tricare prime supplement for retirees and their dependents and was hoping some of you might have some suggestions. TIA

Hi Karen. I was not a Tricare Prime user but did use Tricare standard for some years before I reached age 65. I had a pretty good supplemental policy through The Military Officer's Association (MOAA). The policy was sponsored by The Hartford and I think the NCOA also had a product just like it. You might want to check with one or the other of the service and retiree oriented associations to see what they have. I think USAA also has a policy that is open to both officer and enlisted.

Hi Dave. Thank you for the information. I am a member of USAA and don't think they carry a supplement for prime users anymore. I'll check out the NCOA and see what they offer.
