So I have my appointment with my WOCN RN scheduled for my first irrigation attempt July 28, 0900. Super excited to possibly be done with this whole big bag thing. I'm acting like it is my reversal so I really hope it works.
I have recently, since I finished horrible chemo (YAY!!), have been eating mostly clean, nothing processed or artificial. Lots of fresh raw veggies, and fruit. Of course this has changed my output to a mush. Easy to clean out of a bag more so than the tar I'd often have. Will this be OK with irrigating?
What about dinner times? I'm afraid if I eat too late that could mess with successfu lirrigation. I'm hoping to get 24 hours. Can't even dream of 48 hours. I'll be a morning gator. I currently have output mostly in the morning hours but still have some all day. Never (knock on wood) overnight. Does this matter?
How soon dare I try a cap or even a mini bag. I suppose it depends on how much output I have between irrigation sessions. I plan to rummage this weekend for some towels that could be tossed pending any code browns.
I had a leak at work yesterday, nothing major but had to change everything. Hope not to havre to worry about that in the near future.
I could go on, but for now just wanted to check in.
Thanks,
Sue
